Seaview Pier is the landmark of North Topsail Beach, the least developed stretch of Topsail Island. The beach bends slightly more east-facing than Surf City, so it picks up a bit more of the northeast windswell that the southern half of the island misses — a useful trick in fall and winter.

It's a typical Carolina pier setup: sandbars gather around the pilings, the peaks shift with every storm, and the fishing crowd outnumbers the surf crowd most mornings. When a solid southeast or tropical swell runs, the whole island lights up and North Topsail's emptiness becomes the draw.
