Forecasts are information, not guarantees

TrueSwell provides surf forecasts, spot information and links to third-party cams for general informational purposes. Forecasts are model output built on public data; they are frequently wrong, and their accuracy decreases with lead time (we publish our measured error at /api/skill). The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind.

The ocean is dangerous

Surfing and ocean swimming involve real risk of injury and death — from waves, currents, shallow bottoms, marine life, weather and other people. Nothing on this site is a substitute for your own judgment, local knowledge, posted warnings, lifeguard instructions or official marine forecasts. You are solely responsible for your decisions in and around the water.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueSwell and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including decisions to enter the ocean.

Third-party content

Cam links, map tiles and data sources belong to their respective providers, subject to their own terms. TrueSwell is not affiliated with SurfChex, NOAA or Open-Meteo; names are used only to identify data sources and destinations.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service — no scraping at disruptive volume, no attempting to disrupt or misrepresent the site. The spot guides and site content are ours; the underlying public data belongs to everyone.
